Business & ICT in English Overview
Students will practice language skills, listen to lectures, and read articles, leading to discussion in English about issues in ICT implementation and business. The goal of the course is to introduce students to these topics while improving English reading, writing and discussion skills. This course has no prerequisites; however, interest in the topic and a willingness to participate in English are needed.
Students from other majors are welcome, but class size is limited to 25 and priority may be given to Business Administration students.
Students are expected to:
1. Gain a deeper understanding of problems and opportunities for businesses and business-people using ICT.
2. Be able to understand English lectures, presentations, and readings about these topics.
3. Be able to actively participate in discussions about these topics.
4. Have improved English fluency.
Students will be expected to read articles and watch short videos as directed by the instructor, review the topics discussed in class, and prepare for discussions and a mini-presentation. Homework should take an hour or so each week.
