Business & Gender in English Overview
This course will be delivered online using the lecture mode, including student participation in active learning tasks. Students will learn about issues related to gender and business. Students will listen to lectures and read articles in English, do research on these topics, and discuss them in English.
The aim of the course is to introduce students to these topics while also improving their Academic English skills. This course has no prerequisites; however, interest in the topic and a willingness to participate in English are needed.
Students from other majors are welcome, but class size is limited and priority may be given to Business Administration students.
Students are expected to:
1. Gain a deeper understanding of gender issues in international business.
2. Be able to understand English lectures, presentations, and readings about these topics.
3. Be able to research these topics and actively participate in discussions about them.
4. Have improved English fluency.
Students will be expected to read articles and watch short videos as directed by the instructor, review the topics discussed in class, and research to prepare for discussions and a presentation. Homework should take an hour or so each week.
